What to expect
During the three and a half hours of detailed guided tour, we will discover the "white city" and its history. We will start our walk by Place de la République, the monument of Prince Michel, the National Theater and the National Museum.
Skadarlija
We will continue our discovery of the city with "la rue de France" where nearby is "la rue Skadarska" located in the bohemian district dating from the 19th century, which is also called the Montmartre of Belgrade. Rue Skadarska is the only street that has been twinned with Montmartre.
Dorcol
We will walk to Dorćol, the epicenter of old Belgrade, where we will visit the only mosque in town; pay special attention to the plates and signs and do not miss the opportunity to learn to read the Cyrillic alphabet! Dorcol is the district of Belgrade whose exterior buildings embrace an exceptional mix of different architectural styles.
Ruzica Church
An attraction of the citadel is the Church of Ruzica which was a gunpowder warehouse, but which in 1867-1869. transformed into a military church
From the famous fortress of Belgrade and its Kalemegdan park we will discover the beautiful panoramic view of the confluence of the Sava and the Danube. You will not only benefit from an immense amount of information relating to the Ottoman era in Serbia but also from its important influence on Serbian culture.
Monument of Gratitude to France
Before ending our itinerary, we will visit the Monument of Gratitude to France and learn about the stories of Franco-Serbian friendship since the Great War.
Embassy of France
We will pass by the beautiful building of the French Embassy in Serbia and hear the stories and anecdotes. The style of the building is typical for the interwar period, nourished by monumental classicism and particular refinement in the sculptures.
Kralja Petra
Before finishing the tour we will pass by the beautiful street of King Peter I of Serbia, a French-speaking king, where there are the oldest restaurant in Belgrade, Princess Ljubica's mansion and other beautiful buildings.
