What to expect
Buenos Aires
You will meet your guide at your downtown located hotel or, if you are staying at outside the pick up area, at a centrally located meeting point.
You will head to one of the city’s largest districts, Palermo, where you’ll drive through Palermo Woods, home to many attractions including the Eco Park (formerly Zoo), Plaza Italia and Galileo Galilei Planetarium. If you choose the Premium option you will have the possibility to extend the tour to see the Palermo Racetrack ant the Islamic Cultural Center before continuing with your tour.
Recoleta
We will pass through Retiro and Recoleta, one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city, with elegant shops, open-air cafes and its renowned Recoleta Cemetery. If you choose the Premium option you will have the possibility to buy the entrance fee and visit it.
Teatro Colon
Then you will pass towards 9 de Julio Avenue, the grandest avenue in the city. Where you will see the Colon Theatre, built between 1889 and 1908, this stunning opera house stands proudly near Plaza de la República, right off Avenida 9 de Julio. Widely known for its grandeur, excellent sound quality, and fascinating history, it's considered one of the top five opera houses in the world.
Continuing through 9 de Julio Avenue, you will see the iconic Obelisk of Buenos Aires, a 1936 monument to honor the foundation of the city, stands prominently at the bustling intersection of Avenida 9 de Julio and Avenida Corrientes. Rising 67 meters high, this iconic structure is a symbol of Buenos Aires' rich history and vibrant culture.
Arriving Plaza de Mayo, the main square of Buenos Aires and a historic site of political activism and civic engagement, we will stop there and visit key landmarks such as the Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), the Catedral Metropolitana, and the Cabildo (Old City Hall).
San Telmo
Continuing with the tour we will visit San Telmo, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. See its many attractions, including Dorrego Square, where you should keep your eyes open for spontaneous tango performances – San Telmo is the center of tango in Buenos Aires.
Calle Caminito
Our next stop is in La Boca, Buenos Aires’ most colorful neighborhood, where a European atmosphere has remained strong since the neighborhood was settled by Italian immigrants. The district is a major attraction for the brightly painted buildings on the Caminito, the neighborhood’s main (pedestrianized) drag where you’ll hop off the coach to go for a stroll and see local artists selling their work.
Puerto Madero
Then we will continue to one of the most modern neighbourhoods of the city, Puerto Madero. This district is a revamped dockside area, popular with tourists and business lunchers. You will find the famous "Puente de la Mujer" by Calatrava. The tour concludes at Galerías Pacífico, a popular shopping area, where you can feel free to explore more of Buenos Aires at your own pace. If you choose the Premium option, the tour will conclude with transportation back to your hotel (only selected downtown hotels).
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
