Pedro & Carolina great team. Touched base before as cable car not operating. Turned up on time. I was very slow as struggled to acclimatise and Pedro very sensitive to that. Lunch was fresh healthy and filling. Thank you!! Transport was excellent too. The hike was super challenging but I did it!! And feel so great about that. Highly recommend

Me and my husband hiked volcano Pichincha and loved every minute if it. The entire hike there and back took about 5 hrs. Going down was much faster of course. The challenging hike in high altitude took our breath away but so did the views around us!
Our guide Pedro is a person that absolutely in love with his country and with the job he does! He throughly explained us things about Ecuadorian volcanoes and nature. He knew the trails to adjust the routes to the suitable level if difficulty. Pedro made sure I got out safely of couple scary for me situations ( turns out I am afraid of heights lol). Before the hike started Pedro kindly provided us with local fruits and snacks which turned out vital to keep us going with this strenuous activity!
In addition, it turned out while we were focused on our high altitude survival, Pedro took amazing pictures of us!
Highly recommend this tour with Pedro and would absolutely do it again!

El paisaje de ascenso es muy bello, en un nivel medio de caminata tardas entre dos y tres horas, te da la posibilidad de disfrutar del canto de las aves, flores, los conejos y sus madrigueras, para finalizar con el avistamiento de cinco nevados en la parada de las antenas donde llega el teleferico junto con el Ruco Pichincha.

The cable car ride to higher elevation provided us with amazing views. We were fortunate to have good weather for most of the trip! Our guide Ricky was knowable and took great care of us. He even provided us bananas and stretching before the hike!!

Fantastic ride on a cable car for about 15 minutes, through the clouds up to over 4000 metres.
Fabulous walk to do at the top, if you have time and can manage the altitude. The coca leaf tea in the cafe definitely helps.
A few gimmicky things at the top such as the opportunity to where a poncho and have your photo with a llama, and a swing that feels like it's on top of the world.
I recommend going in the morning as it tends to get cloudier in the afternoon. Wrap up warm as it's also very chilly (we got hailed on!)

The adventure begins in the morning, at 9 am, we will board a cabin of the Quito cable car, which will take us to Cruz Loma hill located at 4100 meters high, where you can observe the city of Quito from the northern part to the southern part.

We will trek approximately 4 hours, crossing landscapes of the Andean Paramo, we will pass through the sharp rock walls of the Rucu Pichincha which means "Old" in Quechua language, We will take the road to the Arenal and climb a cracked road for 1 more hour and finally we will arrive at 4784 meters above sea level, at the top of Rucu Pichincha.
