Teleférico
To reach Rucu Pichincha, start by taking the Quito Metro to the 'La Carolina' station. From there, you can take a taxi or a bus to the Teleférico station, which is located at the base of the Pichincha mountain. Once you arrive at the Teleférico station, purchase a ticket to ascend the mountain. The Teleférico will take you up to approximately 4,000 meters above sea level, providing stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. After getting off the Teleférico, follow the marked trails leading to the summit of Rucu Pichincha.
Bus
If you prefer, you can take a local bus to the Teleférico. Head to the nearest bus stop and look for a bus heading towards the 'Teleférico' or 'Pichincha' route. The bus ride will take around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Teleférico station, buy your ticket and take the gondola up to Rucu Pichincha. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return times or plan to take a taxi back to your accommodation.
