Capitol Gorge Trail
This is a scenic 2-mile hike through a narrow canyon with towering sandstone walls. Hikers can visit ancient petroglyphs, encounter natural water pockets known as "The Tanks," and discover the Pioneer Register where early pioneers left inscriptions. This relatively short trail offers a captivating blend of geological wonders and cultural history in the heart of the national park.
The Hickman Bridge Trail
This is a 1.8-mile round trip hike leading to the impressive 133-foot natural rock arch known as Hickman Natural Bridge. The moderately strenuous trail offers stunning desert scenery and is a popular choice for those seeking a relatively short yet rewarding hiking experience.
Cassidy Arch
Leading to the stunning Cassidy Arch, the trail is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 kilometers) round trip. Named after the notorious outlaw Butch Cassidy, who supposedly used the area as a hideout, the trail offers panoramic views of the surrounding canyons and rock formations. The moderately challenging hike is a great way for visitors to visit the unique landscapes and geological wonders of Capitol Reef National Park.
Scenic Drive
Scenic Drive is a 25-mile paved road through Capitol Reef National Park, offering stunning views of the Waterpocket Fold, canyons, and rock formations.
