    What a fantastic guide and absolutely fascinating tour of Chania. He was extremely knowledgeable and we found the whole tour very interesting. The history of Chania through the eyes of a local is well worth doing. Highly recommended!

    As a teacher of history and theology, Christos was the perfect guide to explain 4,000 years of history of Crete and Chania. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate in explaining how difficult life was under the various invaders, particularly the Venetians and Turks, and showing how their architecture dominates the old city. He made history come alive as we walked around the tiny streets and harbor in the old town. Christos was a wonderful guide and very generous with his time, taking us to hidden places and explaining the important rituals of Easter within his church. One of best tours we've had!

We start from the city center (1866 Square / Halidon Street) and conclude at the same spot, ensuring a convenient end to our journey. Born and raised in the Old City, I combine my professional background as an IFMGA-certified Mountain Guide with my deep local roots. I don't just lecture on history; I will guide you through all the major highlights and hidden spots of the city, offering a first-hand, authentic experience along secret paths and narrow alleys. Ideal for those who value movement and discovery. Join me to uncover the true character of Chania! Preparation & Safety: To ensure a comfortable experience, please wear appropriate walking footwear suitable for the summer heat and the city pavement. We also recommend carrying your personal water bottle and any essential personal health items or first-aid supplies you may typically use. Being well-prepared allows you to enjoy our pathfinder’s journey to the fullest.

    Old Venetian Harbor

    After the church of Agios Nikolaos we go down to the Venetian harbor walking in the eastern old town, I will tell you about things stories that I heard from my parents until we come Venetian Arsenal. We will visit the Venetian Arsenal (shipyards). To continue the excavation of the Minoan city of Kydonia (3, 000 BC) in the Kastelli area, and with an excellent view of the Old Port. We will visit the Yali Mosque (old mosque). after that we continue our city walk to go to Topanas area
