What to expect
Diana Temple. The Roman Temple in Évora is one of the grandest and most best preserved Roman temples across the Iberian Peninsula, having been considered UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. It is the hallmark of the city of Évora
Praça do Giraldo is the main square in the city of Évora. This place has witnessed important moments in the history of Portugal, such as: the execution of Fernando, Duque de Bragança, in 1483; the public burning of the victims of the Inquisition in the 16th century; or the intense debates over land reform during the 1970s.
The Chapel of Bones was built in the 17th century by initiative of three Franciscan friars whose aim was to convey the message of transience and fragility of human life. This message is clearly passed on to visitors entry, through the warning: "We bones that are here, for yours we wait".
Ervideira
Olive and wine tasting aims to challenge the four senses. touch it, observe it, breathe it and taste it.
Évora Cathedral Founded in 1186 and consecrated in 1204, the Évora Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria, is the largest medieval cathedral in the country, and a incomparable example of Roman-Gothic transition architecture.
