    We had fun, however, there is no intrigue or hunting - you just get a list of places to go. I thought we would get clues and then have to figure out the next place to go (same places, but some challenge/puzzles to solve). The places are fun and some were new experiences, so we had fun, but I could have come up with a list of places we’d never been on my own. Also, it estimated two miles of walking and we walked five. This was fine for us but may not be for everyone. It was a fun family activity but not worth the money if you already live in the city and know your way around.

    So much fun. Found fun places to explore. Wish we could have seen the other teams. Got us outside even in the rain. Thank you all for the fun

    My roomates and I set out from sioux city to Des Moines for 2 appts and we had time in between, so we looked up things to do and found Alley kat scavenger Hunts and booked it! It was a 2 hr game where we went to different stores and sites and in playing we made new friends, performed an act of kindness helping a gentleman at the historical building stack chairs after learning things about iowa in the museum! We loved playing! Its a must do if you are in the Des Moines area! We are headed to Minneapolis Mn in a week and hope tovdo this again there! Love love loved it!

    This experience was a complete waste of time and money. The host was slow to respond and offered no flexibility or refund, even when dangerous weather (thunder and lightning) made it unsafe to participate. What you actually receive isn’t an app, guide, or immersive experience — it’s a clumsy, confusing Canva presentation masquerading as a scavenger hunt. It’s disorganized, hard to follow, and clearly thrown together without any real thought. The directions were vague and poorly written, often requiring us to zigzag across town with no logical flow. The “missions” ranged from embarrassingly easy to completely unworkable, with no consistency in quality. Worse, many of them were just thinly veiled ads, pushing us to visit or buy from local shops — essentially free marketing disguised as a paid activity. When we ran into trouble on only the second mission, the host’s only advice was to “ask locals,” who had no clue what we were talking about. She even gave us incorrect directions and couldn’t identify which part of town we were in. It became obvious she doesn’t live in Des Moines — and likely has never even been here. This isn’t a real scavenger hunt. It’s a lazy, thrown-together digital file someone is selling for $50. Total scam.
