Begin your journey at Karnak, the world’s second-biggest complex of ancient religious temples. Tilt your head back to see the crumbling statues and hieroglyph-emblazoned obelisks, and weave a path through the mighty carved columns of the great hypostyle hall.

Cross the River Nile to Luxor’s West Bank to reach the Valley of the Kings. For nearly 500 years, ancient Egyptian pharaohs had their tombs built here – there are 63 in total, including the famous resting place of Tutankhamun. You can explore three tombs with your entrance ticket, but note that Ramses VI and Tutankhamun's tombs require an additional fee.

The Tomb of Ramses VI entrance cost is approximately 220 EGP for adults and 110 EGP for children under the age of 12. Payment is available only with a credit card -
