Walking
From the center of Luxor, head south on Al-Mahdi Street towards the Nile Corniche. Once you reach the Corniche, turn right and walk along the riverbank until you reach the Luxor Temple. From there, continue south along the Corniche until you reach the roundabout with the large statue of Ramses II. At this roundabout, take the first exit onto the Karnak Road. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to the Valley of the Kings. Keep an eye out for local signs and landmarks to help guide you.

Horse-drawn carriage
If you're in the center of Luxor, you can hire a horse-drawn carriage (also known as a 'calèche') from the main square or the Corniche area. Tell the driver you want to go to the Valley of the Kings. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Make sure to agree on the fare before you set off.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Luxor. Start from the city center and head towards the Karnak Road, following the same route as indicated for walking. The ride will be approximately 3 kilometers, and it's a great way to enjoy the landscape. Just be cautious of traffic and stay on the side of the road.

You can catch a local bus from Luxor city center that heads towards the Valley of the Kings. Look for buses marked with signs indicating their destination. The journey will take around 30 minutes, and you should ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Valley of the Kings stop.
