El Portal Visitor Center - El Yunque National Forest

This visitor's center serves multiple purposes, including providing information to visitors about the rainforest's ecology, history, and recreational opportunities. It also serves as a starting point for various hiking trails and attractions within the forest. In this location you will see the Puerto Rican parrot. Available restrooms, gift/ souvenirs shop , snack bar and rest stop.

Catarata La Coca

La Coca is a beautiful 85 feet (26 meters) tall waterfall located just off the road leading into El Yunque. The lush greenery, diverse flora, and the sound of cascading water creates a serene and picturesque setting.

El Yunque National Forest

Follow an enchanting low impact trail that culminates (depending on weather conditions) in a refreshing swim in a local river spot. (Is Optional)

Junglequí

Take a cool refreshing dip in an unspoiled river surrounded by nature in the rainforest. Relax, float and enjoy the canopy of trees above you and the clear skies. Truly peaceful area to meditate and take in the serene space.

Bano Grande

This is a man made pool within the heart of El Yunque Rainforest park. The pool waters come straight from La Mina Rivers. For safety reasons, swimming is not allowed. It is a scenic area with lush vegetation, a bridge, cobblestone walkways and a stone dam. It is impressive architecture and is 18 feet deep.
