What to expect

① Introduction to the world's only ‘matcha incense made from wooden moulds’ and explanation of how to burn it (15 minutes) ② Make 6-7 pieces of matcha incense (45 minutes) The workshop will be held at Eishin-in Temple, located a 5-minute walk from Uji Bridge, the centre of tourism in Uji, Kyoto. The only ingredient used is matcha, which is made from fresh Uji matcha that would otherwise be discarded. It also makes an excellent souvenir for loved ones. *The instructor speaks only Japanese. If you require an English interpreter, please select ‘Language: English’ when making your reservation. An additional fee of 8,800 yen (per group) will be charged on-site. * To avoid keeping other customers waiting, the session will begin promptly at the scheduled start time. Please arrive at the venue 5 minutes prior to the start time.
