Casa-Museu de Aljustrel
Get to know the small, picturesque and rural village where the Little Shepherds were born. Here you can visit the house where Jacinta and Francisco Marto lived, and the House of Lucia de Jesus. You can visit the Arneiro Well - the place where the Angel appeared to the three Shepherd Children in the summer of 1916, a year before the apparition of Our Lady.
Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima
This magnificent church was the first Catholic temple to be erected in Lisbon after the establishment of the Republic in Portugal in 1910. The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima is Primo Valmor in 1938, and of its patrimony the extraordinary stained glass of Almada Negreiros stands out.
Basilica de Nossa Senhora do Rosario de Fatima
This Marian center of pilgrimage evokes the apparitions of Our Lady to the three little shepherds Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, who took place in 1917 and were recognized in 1930. The Sanctuary includes the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Prayer Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. They complement the Sanctuary, the Retreat Houses of Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Carmo and the Paul VI Pastoral Center.
Chapel of the Apparitions
• The Chapel of the Apparitions was built on the exact spot where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children, near the holm oak that once stood there. The tree no longer exists, as it was gradually taken by pilgrims who came to see it.
