It is an originally an irrigation dam built during the Khmer Rouge regime. Paddy farming is a major agricultural activity in Kampot, and many local farmers still use traditional methods to farm and harvest rice. The cave has found more than 800 years ago. Where we have to Travel through the countryside and see Phnom Kampong Trach cave, about 20 miles east of Kampot town. The cave sites are host to pre-Angkorian, or as they are referred to outside of Cambodia, prehistoric ruins. The site includes a cave at the foot of the mountain as well as a number of small mountain wells, which local people of Cambodian, Chinese and Vietnamese descent use for worship.
The crab market one of the best destinations in the south of Cambodia by the coast line. At the crab market we can see how fishermen loading the seafood from the ocean, fresh seafood BBQ, and you can also buy fresh seafood there and ask the chef there to cook for you with many different dishes like : fried crab with kampot green peppers, fried sweet and salty with seafood and so on. Not only the fresh seafood you can test many different kinds of local snacks, and see how people in that areas living. Moreover there are many good restaurants with seafood by the ocean view while we are joining our foods.
