What to expect
The journey from the station to the museum passes through a quiet park where you can feel the natural beauty of the four seasons. Your guide will explain the park to you as you head to the museum.
After entering the museum, 30-minute English-language guided tour. The guide ends here, but there’s no set end time. Enjoy your time here, including visiting the cute cafe and souvenir shop, until closing time at 6:00 pm. Tickets to the Ghibli Museum are extremely difficult for foreign visitors to Japan to obtain. Even if you manage to visit, there are no translated versions of the artworks. Photography is also prohibited inside the museum, so the translation function is unavailable.
