    If you're driving from central Kai, head southeast on Route 20 towards Kofu. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Chuo Expressway and merge onto it. Continue on the expressway for about 30 km, then take the exit for Mitaka. Follow the signs for Mitaka city center, and as you approach, turn left onto Route 8. Continue on Route 8 for about 1 km, then turn right onto Shimorenjaku Street. The Ghibli Museum will be on your left at 1 Chome-1-83 Shimorenjaku. There is parking available nearby.

    To reach the Ghibli Museum via public transportation, start at Kai City Station and take the JR Chuo Line towards Tokyo. After about 45 minutes, get off at Mitaka Station. From Mitaka Station, take the South Exit and follow the signs to the Ghibli Museum. It’s a 15-minute walk; simply head south on the main road, and then take a left onto Shimorenjaku Street. The museum will be on your left at 1 Chome-1-83 Shimorenjaku.
