Guba-Khachmaz Region
We will take you to the forests, mountains, and lake. You can enjoy the scenery of the mountains, see the villages and also enjoy the delicious local cuisine. Our trip will last 10 hours, we will go to Guba and Shahdag, at a separate request we can take you to the village of Khinalyg.

The Shahdag mountain Resort, located just 29 km from the city of Gusar in Azerbaijan, gets its name from the majestic Shahdag Mountain, towering at an impressive altitude of 4243 meters above sea level. This peak is part of the Greater Caucasus mountain range. Due to its strategic location next to the Shah Dagh National Park, the resort complex offers unsurpassed opportunities for skiing and a wide range of winter and summer sports in Azerbaijan.

Khinalug is over 5,000 years old. For centuries, this village was cut off from the rest of civilization by the tall mountains and dangerous rocky cliffs. Due to the isolation, the villagers were able to preserve their own unique language, which doesn’t belong to any other language family, as well as their traditions and customs, found nowhere else. There are about 2,000 people living in the village, divided into 4 families. Each family has its own graveyard and its own patterns for carpets and clothing. Today, the people are Muslim, but before they converted to Islam they were Zoroastrians. There are some temples and semi-pagan traditions that have survived.
