Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh, Morocco. The mosque's name is also variably rendered as, the Mosque of the Booksellers and is flanked by large gardens.The minaret is also considered an important landmark and symbol of Marrakesh.
Bahia Palace is a big old house converted into a palace in the late 19th century by a Moroccan architect, the best workmen and craftsmen of the country have worked continuously for six years (1894-1900).
Ben Youssef Madrasa was the largest Islamic college in Morocco at its height. The madrasa is named after the adjacent Ben Youssef Mosque, which was originally the main mosque of the city, founded by the Almoravid Sultan Ali ibn Yusuf (reigned 1106-1142 ad.)
