What to expect
We pick you up early from your hotel transporting us to the Ollantaytambo train station; Where we will board the train around 06:10 am, then we will continue the train journey in a time of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the KM. 104. In the place, there is the access control where we will have to present our ORIGINAL identification to register. Then, we will begin the Inca Trail, starting at the archaeological site of Chachabamba, continuing to begin the ascent of the mountain for approximately three hours to reach the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna at (2,750 masl / 8,694 feet). Where we will have a rest and taste our lunch. After our lunch we continue our trip to the famous “Intipunku” (Puerta del Sol). From here, we can have a view of Machu Picchu. After our photographs, we will go to the control point and where we will take our bus to the town of “Aguas Calientes”.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will take the first bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu, once there we will present our entrance tickets at the checkpoint; We will visit the Inca archaeological site of Machu Picchu for about 2 hours, then you will have time to explore and enjoy on your own. After a pleasant experience in Machu Picchu, we will have to return to “Aguas Calientes” Pueblo, to take our train back to Ollantaytambo, and the Bus that awaits us to return to Cusco.
