Maidan Nezalezhnosti

Then guide will show you the main street of the city – Khreschatyk. It stretches from the European Square to Bessarabska Square. You will hear a history of Maidan Nezalezhnosti which has been the traditional place for political rallies.

Khreshchatyk

Khreshchatyk is the main street of Kiev. Here you will feel the spirit of the Soviet era and see houses built during the time of Stalin.

People’s Friendship Arch

People's Friendship Arch in Kiev, Ukraine. Formerly the Monument to the Reunification of Ukraine and Russia. Soviet monument in the former USSR.

Verkhovna Rada

It is the place where the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) meets for all regular and ceremonial sessions. The building was erected between 1936–38 to a design by Volodymyr Zabolotny in the neo-classical Ukrainian architectural style. Zabolotny was awarded the State prize for that project in 1940 and appointed the chief architect of the city.

The Cabinet of Ministers - Budynok Uryadu (The Government)

During the Soviet era in Ukraine Cabinet building located terrible NKVD (NKVD of the USSR), and for which the building was erected in 1938.

National Library of Ukraine

The library contains about 15 million items. The library has the most complete collection of Slavic writing, archives of outstanding world and Ukrainian scientists and cultural persons. The holdings include the collection of the Presidents of Ukraine, archive copies of Ukrainian printed documents from 1917, and archives of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Baikove Cemetery

The uniquely shaped crematorium stands in Baikove Cemetery's “Memory Park,” and a giant wall covered in reliefs was built right next to it.

VDNG

It has been operating since 1958. About 100 companies are represented at the exhibition. Attendance at the Expocentre is 1.5 million people a year. Until 1993, the complex was called the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the Ukrainian SSR
