I booked this tour for my friend that had his birthday coming up but I was so glad we chose this tour. It ended up just being our group on the tour so the tour was very personal and we all had a fun time. The geisha apprentice that we saw was very professional even though she was only 18 years old. I have to say, we learned more history about Japan than any other tour that we have done, all thanks to Santa's expertise. Next time we come to Japan, I will 100% book another tour with Santa!

Santa was an amazing tour guide, very attentive to our needs. My wife and I did the early morning tour and she was tired from the heat. He quickly adjusted he tour so that it wasn’t stressful for us. 10/10 service and I would recommend this tour to anyone who’s coming to Kyoto.

If you’d like to appreciate, respect, and deeply understand the Geisha culture of Japan, please book with GuideMe Japan. Since the tour was just my fiance and I, our amazing, amazing tour guide, Santa, reached out days in advance and was willing to customize the experience for us. Because of this, I was able to see so many of the spots I was hoping to in my visit to Kyoto. Santa was young, vibrant, so smart, and spoke English as well as a native. He stopped along the way to help us in understanding and appreciating the different aspects of the Gion district. He frequently stopped to take amazing photos of us that I’m so happy I have to look back on. I also appreciated that he was willing to stop whenever we asked to either buy a snack, stop at a vendor, or take a little break as Japan is super hot in the summer! Our tour ended around dinner time, and he was willing to walk us to his recommend sushi place before we parted ways. What makes this tour company so special is how youthful, passionate, and enthusiastic the tour guides are. Santa asked us questions about our own lives and really drove to build a deep connection with us. If I go back to Japan, I will first check GuideMe to see their latest tours!
