What to expect

Enjoy a leisurely paddle around Lake Tarleton at your own pace. Lake Tarleton is a naturally occurring lake, though the water level is raised several feet by a man-made dam. During the 1990s and early 2000s, public action saved the land surrounding the lake from development, and it is now almost entirely protected as public lands, either as part of Lake Tarleton State Park, or the White Mountain National Forest. Along with your paddling equipment, you'll receive a pamphlet guide with photos and information about the sights you'll be able to see on the lake.
