What to expect
Luxor
Early in the morning, the driver of our agency will pick you up at the hotel with an air-conditioned car, and will take you to the airport with a journey of approximately 25 – 35 minutes. You will board the plane to Luxor, for a flight lasting approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival at the airport, our qualified Egyptologist guide will welcome you and accompany you for the entire duration of the tour. The tourist visit begins in the western area of the city, or as it was called in the past, the city of the dead, which is considered by the ancient Egyptian pharaonic civilization to be the gateway to the other world.
Valley of the Kings
composed of two parts. The Eastern valley, on which most of the royal tombs and monuments were built. The Western valley, which contains the Valley of the Kings. This is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the history of Egypt and the entire world, as it contains 62 royal tombs of kings of the 18th dynasty. Each mortuary tells stories of the life of the Pharaoh and the royal family, with a style and architecture that creates a feeling of peace and mystery. The tour program includes access to 3 tombs, but if you wish to visit others, it will be possible with a supplement.
Fabrica Di Alabastero: We continue with a visit to a typical factory of vases and statues of kings produced in alabaster (alabaster), an art handed down from generation to generation by our ancient Egyptian ancestors and which continues today.Artifacts of alabaster, basalt and limestone forged by the new generations, who can easily learn "the sense of beauty" without stress. Purchasing some gifts for yourself or for friends ensures a unique and special memory.
Temple of Hatshepsut
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: We will then move to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built in 1473 – 1458 BC. on the west bank of Luxor, to the west. Discovered in disastrous conditions in the mid-19th century, the temple was subsequently renovated and opened to the public.
Colossi of Memnon
Colossi of Memnon: We will then reach the Colossi of Memnon consisting of two statues, whose height is equal to 12.90 meters, each of which is a single block of sandstone. The last two commemorative remains of King Amenhotep III, one of the kings of the 18th dynasty, visible in this place also known as the Colossate.
Luxor
Lunch: After an experience full of emotions and amazement, to rest and relax, you will stop to enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant
Karnak Temple: The last site of our itinerary will be represented by a visit to the temple complex, better known internationally as the Karnak Temple, dedicated to the cult of the god Amun-Ra. Karnak Temple is the largest, most important and most famous of the Egyptian temples, and was formerly called “Ipt Sot”, meaning the chosen place. The Karnak group includes more than 20 temples built by the Kings of ancient Egypt during the three dynasties, Ancient, Central and Modern, as well as at the beginning of the Ptolemaic era.
Luxor
Shopping: At the end of the visit, one hour will be available to go shopping and purchase souvenirs at the Papyrus Museum. The word papyrus refers to the written medium that the ancient Egyptians invented to write and record information, through which many secrets were revealed, some of which are still preserved today.
Sharm El Sheikh
Return to Sharm el sheikh: These objects that you will take home will fuel, together with the photos taken, your memories of this ancient culture, and of the exciting adventure experienced. The Guide will follow you to Luxor airport for the return flight to Sharm.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
