    Trovandoci in zona abbiamo deciso di fare il giro delle mangrovie in barca da soli con il driver in modo privato. Abbiamo scelto l'agenzia Black Sand Fn ed abbismo pagato in due 200RM per 2 ore. Siamo salpati da un piccolo porticciolo vicino alla spiaggia e ci hanno portato a vedere alcuni pesci che loro tengono in una sorta di vasca di acqua di mare sotto a delle palafitte. Dopo averli ammirati, ti mostrano altri pesci che pagando, possono cucinarti. Sono pesci che troverete ovunque nei vari ristoranti dell'isola di cui aragoste e cicale. Noi abbiamo desistito i prezzi sono più alti rispetto ai ristorante del sud dove alloggiamo. La nostra gita ha continuato costeggiando da ambo i lati le mangrovie, l'acqua pian piano ha preso il colore marrone. Poi ci siamo ritrovati in un punto in cui le aquile nidificano, le più piccole ci volavano intorno aspettando il pesce che la guida buttava in mare, una volta diventate adulti, questi rapaci volano via in altre isole non abitate con montagne più alte. Questo spiega perché il simbolo di Langkawi è un'aquila. Superate le acquile siamo passati ad osservare le scimmie che vivono lungo tutta la riva. Non è sfuggita dinanzi a noi, la vista su di un ramo di un serpente molto velenoso che la guida ci ha spiegato essere fatale quanto un king cobra. Un po' spaventati ed incerti se tra scimmie e serpenti, potesse caderne qualcuno in barca, abbiamo velocemente proseguito attraversando una stretta e bassa grotta che ci ha condotti alla Grotta dei Pipistrelli. Vi consiglio di portare con voi del cash e lasciare zaini e borse in barca. Il giro nella grotta dura pochi minuti ma è bassa e stretta, meglio quindi stare leggeri. Per entrare bisogna pagare 2RM a testa più 1RM per la pila che è necessaria, una volta entrati nella grotta buia, vi servirà per avvistare ed illuminare le decine e decine di pipistrelli che si troveranno a pochi metri da voi. Anche qui ci sono scimmie ma, non toccatele, il loro aspetto delizioso nasconde la loro aggressività. Nella grotta potete ammirare anche antichissime stalattiti e stalagmiti. Tornati in barca e costeggiando la costa, siamo giunti in mare aperto e dopo una bella corsetta, siamo sbarcati sulla spiaggia dove poco distante avevamo lasciato il nostro motorino. Consigliata

    The tour start with the hotel/port pickup by our local driver to the jetty. Travel by boat through the twists and turns of the Kilim river through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees. We often see mangrove animals that make their home in this delicately balanced ecosystem which is responsible for the health and wide variety of species in the Andaman Sea. We also explore how the mangrove area is a perfect environment for cottage industries such as fish farms. Our first stop is The boatman will stop the engine and throw some chicken pieces out into the water to invite the eagles. And in no time you will see eagles diving down just next to you and clawing up the chicken pieces and eating them as they soar into the sky. As we venture out of the mangroves you will see majestic limestone rock formations and sea stacks that rise dramatically from the ocean. This ancient coral thrust into the sky millions of years ago is home to a unique and ancient group of plants found no where else on earth.

    Visit floating modern fish farm and local fish farm is one of the tour.Our boat will drop you at the floating fish farm in a secluded cove surrounded by high vertical limestone and granite cliffs. You will have a wild time hand-feeding the rays. There are also a number of sea creatures kept in the 'tanks' but we shall not reveal too much - it's well worth the trip. After half day with a new experience, the boat will make your way back to jetty and driver will drop off to your original hotel/port pickup
