Nadi Heritage Tour

Our tour was excellent with the help of our very knowledgeable tour guide TORA we learned a lot with Fiji culture and he is very accomodating and hes escorting us to shop and making sure that we are safe crossing the road. I highly recommended this coming if you go to fiji. Well done TORA

Roshan was our tour guide today and showed us so many attractions that Fiji had to offer. He was very accommodating, professional, informative and fun to be with. I got to see so much more than I thought and he made sure we enjoyed every bit of our day in Fiji. While on holiday recently my partner and I, along with some other family members, took the Nadi Heritage Tour with Tour Managers and we really enjoyed what it had to offer. Firstly a huge thank you and shoutout to our wonderful guide Krishna (Kris) who was a superstar. He is such a lovely person who was happy to share his wealth of cultural and historical knowledge about Nadi and Fiji with us. He was extremely accommodating and made sure we had a wonderful time. The tour itself included a stop at the beautiful Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami Hindu Temple - a stunning and ornately decorated place with some of the most gorgeous painted roof panels. Please be aware that you must remove your shoes and will be provided with a sari to cover yourself if your clothes don't meet the Temple dress code. Krishna did an amazing job explaining the significance of the paintings and what they represent, which really added to our appreciation of the artwork. We then were given an opportunity to do some souvenir shopping at Fiji Market - lots of different items available to purchase. Our next stop at First Landing Village (Viseisei) gave us an opportunity to purchase hand-crafted items from the local families themselves. We then walked through the village with the lovely Kitty, who told us the story of her ancestors and her family while we toured their village home. Again, saris are provided for anyone whose clothes aren't within village guidlines, which is very thoughtful. Finally we made our way to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, a treasure tucked away at the bottom of the mountain it takes it name from. Lush and dense gardens offer all manner of tropical plants, including fruit-baring trees and many of the over 2000 species of orchid grown there. We were greeted with a delicious complimentary cold juice and then took a short guided walk (our guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable although I regrettably cannot remember her name). There is a longer jungle trek but the short walk we took was of low difficulty but does include steps and some gravel paths so sensible walking shoes would be recommended. All in all we felt this tour offers a wonderful snapshot of some of the amazing sights, culture and history that Nadi has to offer and we would certainly book another experience with Tour Managers Fiji.
