    I was part of a group who went to, durmitor national park, the monstary and other key look out points. We also had lovely local food that was really nice. I enjoyed visiting these places and our guide was very engaging. Even when it came to events that were out of his control (heavy rain and thunder, and accidents on the road), our guide made sure we were all looked after. I would say though, be prepared for spending most of your trip in the mini van traveling from place to place.

    This was a great trip to see beyond the coast of Montenegro and did not disappoint. The natural beauty of the Black Lake (which was a gorgeous greeny-blue) and the Tara canyon was stunning. It was a privilege to arrive at Ostrog Monastry when a service was being held. We also really enjoyed breakfast at a lovely spot surrounded by fruit trees. The whole trip was brought alive by our excellent guide Nada (pronounced Nadja) who taught us so much about Montenegrin culture and the sights we were seeing. I learnt a lot and it really added to our experience in Montengro. Thank you!!!

    From the moment we contacted the tour operator, we felt in great hands. Even though we were not able to take the tour due to a personal, tricky situation; the tour operator and his team focused on helping us, total strangers and foreign to their country, to solve the issues with peace of mind.     This tour is a great way to see many places in a single day! It was a great way to escape the coastal heat, too. So, be prepared to ride in the car for many hours throughout the day. The scenery is beautiful and not having to stress over driving or navigating was so worth it! There are stops for breakfast and lunch at restaurants so plan to spend about 6 euros on breakfast and 20 euros on lunch. Also, bring 5 euro in cash for entry to the national park and 30 euros if you want to zip line. Everything was worth the money we just weren’t expecting to have these other costs especially needing cash for them. Our tour guide Vania was great!

    Our Lady of the Rocks

    After 20 minutes we take our first photo stop at the outskirts of the baroque town of Perast. A short distance from the shoreline you’ll be able to capture perspectives of two famous islands – Our Lady of the Rocks (artificial) and Saint George (natural).

    Nearing sunset, we’ll begin our ascent up the narrow and winding road, enjoying spectacular views of the highly-perched monastery in the effects of the setting sun..You may have an opportunity to observe bare footed pilgrims climbing up the 3 km long road, in order to reach this holy place and sleep over in the monastery yard.
