We had a great time with AJ. He is a native NY-er who is personable and funny. I learned so much about the city where I have spent significant time but never really saw some of the details he pointed out. Definitely worth the money!

AJ was a very knowledgeable tour guide. We got on and off several subway trains and he spoke at each station about the history of that station. He showed us old tile that was covered up and as we went past some old abandoned stations he shined his flashlight so we could see them. I would recommend this tour but if you are in a wheelchair or on a scooter or have difficulty with stairsit is not for you.

We're sure the information would have been interesting if we could have heard it. A substantial portion of the tour was conducted in the subway. The provided earphones were of such poor quality we couldn't hear the tour guide over the roar of the trains for most of the tour. We should have been provided noise cancelling headphones. In addition, our guide seemed to be more concerned with getting to his next appt than in communicating clearly. Basically, we didn't get the tour we paid for.

A GREAT tour that showcased the history of the subway systems and architectural details. Loved seeing the abandoned stations along the ride. Cullen was top-notch in every way. We never felt rushed, but he kept a nice pace to allow seeing a lot. He was personable, professional, and so knowledgeable. I loved the small group setting and cannot wait to book other tours with Untapped NYC.

I was always a little afraid of the subway, but Alexis immediately put me at ease. She was personable and genuinely interested in the people in her group, making sure we were together and safely getting on and off the cars. She was knowledgeable and when she didn’t know an answer, she googled it and found out in a second. Finally, after the tour was over, she walked my family to the entrance we needed to go to Penn Station. Not everyone would do that. She’s awesome, and we loved her tour.

This is a better tour for visitors NYC. Locals in particular older ones will find it less than inspiring. Nevertheless I enjoyed this. Nice review of the history
