Getting There

Train
Start by walking to the nearest Metro-North train station in Greenwich, which is the Greenwich Station. From the central locations in Greenwich, you can walk to the station in about 15-20 minutes. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to New York Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. After exiting, walk towards Park Avenue and head south until you reach the intersection with City Hall Park. City Hall will be on your right side.

Bus
You can take the CT Transit bus service from Greenwich to New York City. Head to the nearest bus stop for the Route 10 bus that goes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan. The bus ride will take about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Port Authority, exit the terminal and walk to 42nd Street. From there, head east to Park Avenue, and then south to City Hall Park. City Hall will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Greenwich and head towards the Greenwich Point Park. From there, follow the scenic route along the waterfront to the Westchester County Bike Path that leads to the Bronx. Once in the Bronx, make your way to the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, cross it, and continue towards Manhattan. Upon entering Manhattan, navigate to Lower Manhattan via the FDR Drive bike path. From there, head west on 42nd Street until you reach Park Avenue, then walk south to City Hall Park.

It is a long journey (about 30 miles) but you can take the scenic route along the Long Island Sound, following the coast through Old Greenwich and then heading towards Port Chester, where you can cross into New York. After that, continue on foot towards the city, following the Hudson River paths until you reach Lower Manhattan. This option will take several hours and plan for breaks along the way.
