What to expect
Kathmandu
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal Adventure Team staff and guides will receive you and transfer you to the respective hotels in the tourist hub of Kathmandu, Thamel. After refreshment our guide/leader will brief you regarding hotels, Nepali cultures, tours and Poon Hill Trekking with a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant assisted by a folk cultural program.
Pokhara
Our guide will pick you up, transfer to the bus station, and drive to Pokhara by a deluxe tourist bus along the Trisuli river and hilly train. You will be free in Pokhara in the evening, and you may visit Phewa Lake and the lakeside street for dinner. over night at Hotel
Pokhara
After a wonderful stay in the world’s popular tourist spot Pokhara, a drive to Nayapul through mid-hill towns and villages begins. From Nayapul, our trek starts with a gradual walk through Birethanti encountering trekkers, mule and donkey trains. This route is an ancient trail, Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route to Tibet. For night stay in the comfortable lodge, we stay at Hile.
Ghorepani
Early walk leads to Tikhedhuga through a steep climb for about two hours on the paved stone steps upto Ulleri village. The grand views of the surrounding landscapes and snow capped peaks of Annapurna South and Mt. Machapuchare make the trail more beautiful. The strenuous uphill climb gets better on the winding path through cool forest of alpine trees; oaks, pines and rhododendron upto Ghorepani- Deurali village. Ghorepani is located on the high spot stretching all the way to Upper Mustang unto Tibet. The people of this area are Pun Magar and the place is famous for the hike to Poon Hill, a view point offering super wide angle views of world’s three highest peaks and range of other mountains with striking sunrise and sunset.
Poon Hill Marga
Before the dawn our hike begins as we aim to capture the golden and shimmering sunrise from Poonhill at 3210m that brightens the mountains’ beauty too. The mountain range from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges to as far as Ganesh Himal in the far eastern horizon including the stunning Mt. Machapuchare uplifts the Poonhill’s worth. With heart pleasing view, we head to Tadapani for our stay.Walk continues passing small places as Deurali and Banthati further short climb dropping us at Tadapani. Tadapani is located in the middle of enchanting wonderful forests with super views of Annapurna and Machapuchare.
Today we have short trek to Ghandruk village and lesuire explore Ghandruk if interested. The trail is furnished with green forest supplying chilly breeze durin g our warm walk. Mountains are ever ready to welcome us. In Ghandruk, you can explore the Gurung village and their culture which is one of the largest villages around Annapurna region. You can wear their cultural dress too. The men folks of Ghandruk village have long tradition of supplying some of the finest soldiers in the Gorkha Regiment to both British and Indian armies.
Nepal
We walk on the downhill path for an hour to Modi River. Crossing the bridge and climbing up lands to Landruk village. Short break on pretty village, walk on the long winding trail through terraced farm fields and uphill walk for 40 minutes leads to Deurali ridge at 2,150 m. Deurali supports to enjoy grand views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu including Fish Tail peak. Small Pothana village is our night stay spot.
Pokhara
Accompanied by superb mountain views, we march through cool forest to reach Thulo Kharka popularly known as Australian Camp. Australian Camp is a wonderful spot in the midst of the forest with large meadows overlooking magnificent views of the Himalayan range of mountains. After a short break here, descend to Kande village on the Baglung-Pokhara highway. An hour drive from Kande, we reach Pokhara.
Kathmandu
Early in the morning following the same route, we are driven back to Kathmandu. You can relax and browse around the market for the rest of the day. You can ask your guide to take you to explore around. Farewell dinner is served in the cultural restaurant.(flight option is available).
