What to expect
Baldwin Street - World's Steepest Street!
Located in Dunedin, New Zealand, Baldwin Street is officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's steepest residential street, featuring a maximum slope of about 35 percent (a 1:2.86 grade).
Dunedin railway station is a prominent landmark and tourist site in Dunedin, a city in the South Island of New Zealand. It is speculated by locals to be the most photographed building in the country, as well as the second most photographed in the southern hemisphere, after the Sydney Opera House.
The Otago Peninsula is a long, hilly indented finger of land that forms the easternmost part of Dunedin, New Zealand. Volcanic in origin, it forms one wall of the eroded valley that now forms Otago Harbour.
Olveston Historic Home is a substantial house and museum in an inner suburb of Dunedin, New Zealand. The house was designed by Ernest George in the Jacobean style in the early 20th century for the Theomin family
The Octagon is the city centre of Dunedin, in the South Island of New Zealand. It is an eight-sided plaza with a circular one-way carriageway, bisected by the city's main street, and is also the central terminus of two other main thoroughfares. The Octagon is predominantly a pedestrian reserve, with grass and paved features, and is surmounted by a statue of the Scottish poet Robert Burns. Several of Dunedin's significant buildings and institutions adjoin the plaza with time to explore at your leisure
The lookout is a central plateau, home to a monument with two bronze statues dedicated to the New Zealand Centennial. This popular spot is used by many different groups. Mountain bikers start here and ride down through the trails in the scenic reserve that encompasses much of Signal Hill. Tours often stop here for photo opportunities and to provide context for the rest of the adventure
Step into Dunedin’s most enchanting piece of history. Perched high above the Otago Peninsula, Larnach Castle combines Victorian grandeur, fascinating history and spectacular views. Built in 1871, the castle offers visitors the chance to explore beautifully restored rooms, intricate architecture and the stories of the Larnach family. Surrounding the castle are award-winning gardens, peaceful woodland and sweeping views across the Otago Peninsula.
