What to expect
Since 1999, the German parliament has been housed in the Reichstag in Berlin.
The Brandenburg Gate is a city gate of Berlin, built in neoclassical style in the period 1788-1791 on the model of the Propylaea. The gate is located at Pariser Platz.
Topography of Terror is a documentation centre in Berlin about Nazi crimes. It is located on Niederkirchnerstrasse. This centre is located on the same spot as the vanished Gestapo headquarters.
Potsdamer Platz
In 1838, just outside the old city walls of Berlin, at the Potsdamer Tor, a station was built for the first railway line in Prussia, from Berlin to Potsdam. Before the Second World War it was a lively square, but after the war the buildings were largely destroyed.

The original cathedral, erected in the period 1747-1750, contained the crypt of the Hohenzollern, one of the largest family tombs in Europe. The current neo-baroque building by Julius Raschdorff was built between 1894 and 1905.
Alexanderplatz
Alexanderplatz is a famous square in Berlin. Colloquially, it is also known as 'Alex'. Where you can still see plenty of traces of the rich past. Including many from the Cold War, but also plenty of beautiful things can be found here.
Unter Den Linden
Unter den Linden is rightfully one of the most famous streets in Berlin.The 60-metre-wide boulevard is one big architecture museum with buildings from all eras.
Tränenpalast is the nickname of the Ausreisehalle der Grenzübergangsstelle Bahnhof Friedrichstraße, a border post between East Berlin and West Berlin
