To reach the Reichstag Building, start by finding the nearest U-Bahn station. If you are at Alexanderplatz, take the U2 line heading towards Ruhleben. After 4 stops, get off at the station 'Bundestag'. From the station, head towards the exit marked 'Platz der Republik'. Once you exit the station, the Reichstag Building will be directly in front of you.

S-Bahn (City Train)
If you are at Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station), you can take the S-Bahn. Board any S-Bahn line that goes towards 'Potsdam' or 'Alexanderplatz'. Get off at the 'Brandenburger Tor' station (2 stops). From there, walk towards the Brandenburger Tor and then head left on Ebertstraße until you reach the intersection with Platz der Republik. The Reichstag Building will be on your right.
