What to expect
Angkor Thom South Gate
Pick up you at your hotel and transfer to visit the popular gate of the last capital city of Angkorian Period. You will see two rows of Deva & Demon standing and holding the body of Naga. Moreover; you can walk cross the tower with 4 giant faces of future Buddha.
Then, stop to visit the Buddhist Temple with 49 faces locating the center of Angkor Thom. You will discover much information of daily lives of people in Angkorian Period.
Then, walk to Explore Baphoun temple, the Hinduism Temple with 3 levels built to dedicate to Shiva God.
Next, explore Phimean Akas temple inside the Royal Palace.
Walk toward to visiting Terrace of Elephant where there are a lot of carvings of elephants.
Terrace of the Leper King
After that, visit Terrace of Leper King. This place was used as a hospital.
Finally we reach The jungle temple which was filmed Tomb Raider Movie. Break for lunch.
After that, we go to visit Angkor Wat temple, The largest Hinduism monument in the world.
Pick up you at your hotel and transfer to Kompong Phluk, an authentic stilted village on the edge of the great Tonle Sap Lake. Here, the Khmer, Vietnamese and Cham people live in harmony with the rising and falling water levels of the lake. Fun fact: most households here own boats as well as motorbikes as their road becomes a water channel during the monsoon. The biggest attraction in this neighbourhood is the eerie Flooded Forest accessible by boat during the wet season. Return to Siem Reap.
