    As it was the means to get a good grasp of the history and highlights of the central valley of Costa Rica, we urged ourselves to see as much as we could in the few hours we had. Therefore the experience felt quite rushed. Nevertheless, I am really happy with the information I have gained on all the different places and monuments in Cartago and San José.

    Wonderful experience. Guide Gustavo, fantastic. Attentive, polite and very kind. I highly recommend this tour, especially for those who are the 1st time in Costa Rica.

    We spent a fantastic few hours with Gustavo exploring the hidden historic buildings and grand homes of the capital San Jose. We would never have found them or understood their significance without his enthusiastic and expert knowledge. Then as an added bonus he got us into a beautifully original and period decorated restaurant even though it was closed, and took us inside old hotels and restaurants that had pictures from the mid 1800’s showing the former glory of the colonial background of the city. Then as an added bonus he escorted us shopping for presents, souvenirs, and tasting obscure but delicious fruits at the local market. Our understanding and appreciation of the city, country, and way of life now has a depth that has made our overall trip complete. Thank you so much, and I hope others use his services to do the same for them.
