Walking
If you are starting from the National Museum of Costa Rica located at Calle 17, you can walk towards the Metropolitan Cathedral of San José. Exit the museum and head south on Calle 17 until you reach Avenida Segunda. Turn left on Avenida Segunda and continue straight for about 5 blocks, crossing at the intersections. You will see the Metropolitan Cathedral on your right, located on Avenida Segunda, Calle Central, Av. 2.

To get to the Metropolitan Cathedral from the Central Market, head to the bus stop near the market. Take a local bus heading towards La Sabana. You need to get off at the stop near Avenida Segunda and Calle Central. From there, walk a short distance north on Avenida Segunda, and the cathedral will be on your left.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer to take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app, simply input 'Metropolitan Cathedral of San José' as your destination. Most drivers in San José will know this landmark. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. When you arrive, the cathedral will be directly in front of you at Avenida Segunda, Calle Central, Av. 2.
