    This was an incredible tour of fascinating sites on Orkney Island. Our guide Michael was articulate and incredibly well informed on the history of the island. A former educator, his knack for presenting history (and folklore) in an interesting manner held our attention throughout. Stories of how WWII POWs used available material to build a small church; the Neolithic period stones and excavations; and the poignant story of the the naming of a Saint and how that is tied to the the town’s cathedral were all captivating. This is well worth the trip to Orkney Island.

    Our guide Leslie was absolutely the best. He enabled us to see all of the e best highlights of the area in a compressed amount of time without making us feel rushed or harried. He was full of fantastic information, and gave us the most lovely day.

    Our guide Leslie was absolutely fantastic. He had so much information to share, and delivered it with grace and humor. He made the tour seem very personalized and kept our interest along the way. This was a great way to see the most we could of the island with limited time. The car we were in was way too small for our group of 4, and we were packed in like sardines, but that was the only drawback.

    Our guide Michael was excellent. We stopped at the sights listed. Guide sat in front seat, we were in 3rd row and couldn’t hear everything. Viator needs to provide your guides with mics or something As far as the mini van went we would have been more comfortable on a bus. We were 3 in the very back and could only get out on 1 side. I would have given this a 5 rating if it weren’t for the vehicle and hearing the guide Which I feel is on you!!

She was very knowledgeable and kind and filled every second of our tour with as much as possible! Loved the stones, and ruins the best! Thank you Helen!
