Car
If you're driving, start from Kirkwall, the capital of Orkney. Head northwest on the A961 towards the island of Evie. Continue on the A961 for about 12 miles until you reach the junction for the B9063. Turn left onto the B9063 and follow the road for approximately 3 miles. When you reach Aikerness, look for signs for the Broch of Gurness, which will be on your right. There is a parking area near the site.

To reach the Broch of Gurness using public transport, start by taking the bus from Kirkwall. You can catch the bus number 7 towards Evie at the bus station. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Aikerness. From the bus stop, it will be a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the Broch of Gurness, following the signs along the road.
