My wife and I had an amazing sailboat ride! Captain Dave was very knowledgeable, I felt like we saw the ocean as well as San Diego bay. We were able to view Dolphins, Navy ships and Helicopters, and a wide variety of sea birds. Overall it was a very relaxing trip, would highly recommend it if you like sail boats!

We have owned and sailed 26, 32 and 40 foot sailboats. we go to San Diego to sail and usually sail two days in a row. We have settled on Sail San Diego because the experience is so much better than the alternatives. Greg is our favorite Captain because he makes every sail a pleasant experience. He is extremely skilled and sensitive to the interests and characteristics of his guests. The boats are beautiful, well maintained and safe. Sailing with SSD is a wonderful introduction to sailing for the novice and a unique return to sailing for those of us with lots of experience who no longer own a boat. In any case it is a beautiful and unique way to see the harbor of San Diego with its many naval and commercial vessels. A great way to top off a vacation. Highly recommended.

We had a great sailing experience with Captain Dave. Despite the fact that it rained almost the entire three hours, we had a fun time. We are told it hardly ever rains in San Diego, so I guess we feel “special” that it rained on our trip!

Look no further. Book Sail San Diego for a fantastic experience in one of American’s most beautiful cities. The public sail was AWESOME, on a beautiful boat with an amazing skipper, Captain Dave. Captain Dave was engaging, personable, fun and above all competent. His commentary made the harbor and sea come alive. Dolphins swim by our boat as the winds filled our sails. IT WAS A PERFECT DAY! My husband is an experienced sailor but no longer wants to rent sailboats and be in charge. He is already wanting to go again, which we will. Whether you live in San Diego and want to get some fresh air and sail without a care or have visitors in town, which we did, you would be hard-pressed to find a better way to experience San Diego. We recommend Sail San Diego without reservation.
