How you will identify us: The team will come directly to find you at the "I Love Petén" sign. They have your name on their official passenger list to identify you immediately. Wait right on the sign: Stay exactly in the letters of "I Love Petén". You don’t have to move to find any vehicles; the staff will arrive on foot to pick you up there. Security filter : If someone else approaches you offering the tour to Tikal, but does NOT know your name or have you on their list, please ignore them. Just go to the staff that confirms your name correctly.

Panoramic View on the Road (El Remate and Lake Petén Itzá) During the journey to Tikal, we will pass through the beautiful area of El Remate, located at the east end of Lake Petén Itzá. From the comfort of the vehicle, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the lake, famous for its stunning turquoise blue and emerald green tones surrounded by dense jungle. Prepare your camera to capture the landscape from the window as we enter the heart of the Mayan World!

Arrival in Tikal: Here begins the adventure! Upon arrival at Tikal National Park, the vehicle will park in the main parking area. Here we will get off the transport, prepare with the backpacks, also have some free time to use the bathrooms and, after passing the entrance control, we will begin the guided walk into the archaeological site. From this moment on, we will enter the paths of the dense rainforest, surrounded by the sounds of nature and ready to discover the majestic Mayan pyramids. The real exploration starts here!

First Stop: Twin Pyramid Complex the jungle walk will take us straight to the first big square of the tour: an impressive Twin Pyramid Complex. These structures are super special and unique to Tikal architecture; the ancient Mayans built them exclusively to commemorate the end of a Katun (a period of 20 years in their solar calendar). Here you can admire the perfect symmetry of the two opposing pyramids, their stone stelae and begin to feel the true greatness of this millennial city.

The Heart of the Mayan World: The Great Square of Tikal Get ready for the most exciting moment of the trip. As you emerge from the thick of the jungle, your eyes will see the imposing Grand Square, the political, sacred and cultural epicenter of Tikal, open. Standing here is breathing more than a thousand years of pure Mayan history. You will be facing each other with the two most iconic silhouettes in the Mayan World. You will have free time to take spectacular photos from the best angles and, best of all, we will climb Temple II. From its top, you will enjoy one of the most beautiful and mystical views of the entire square. The Northern Acropolis: We will walk through this impressive religious complex that functioned for centuries as the mausoleum of the great kings of Tikal. Its architecture superimposed and appreciate closely the impressive and mysterious stone figureheads that still guard the place. The Residential Area (Central Acropolis): We will explore the mazes, palaces and rooms

The next great stop takes us to the imposing Temple III, also known as the Temple of the Great Priest. With an impressive 55 meters high, this is one of the city’s late and enigmatic structures. The Temple "Semi-Conquered" by the Jungle: When you look at it, you will notice that much of its body still remains covered by vegetation and earth. This view is spectacular because it allows you to understand exactly how archaeologists found Tikal after centuries of neglect: a human masterpiece embraced by nature. The Mysterious Crestry : If you look up into the sky, you will see its famous and huge original stone crestry stand out from the jungle. It is believed to have been built around 810 AD for the burial of a ruler whose body is portrayed on the original wooden lintel inside the temple, wearing a jaguar skin.

The Empire View and Star Wars Stage We got to the giant Tikal! With its towering 70 meters high, Temple IV is the tallest pre-Columbian structure in all of America, and climbing to its top is an experience you will remember all your life. The Best Panoramic View in the Mayan World : When you climb onto its wooden platform, you will be literally above the treetops. From up there you will enjoy a majestic view of the Petén jungle, seeing how the ridges of Temples I, II and III stand out between the dense green sea of the jungle. It is an unrealistic, mystical and absolutely photogenic landscape. A movie stop, if you are a fan of the cinema, this place will be very familiar. This panoramic view was the setting chosen by George Lucas in 1977 to film the scene from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Representing Yavin 4’s moon You’ll be standing in exactly the same spot as the rebel watchman watching the Millennium Falcon take off!

The Great Astronomical Center: This complex was scientifically designed by the Mayan sages as a gigantic observatory. From the main platform, and lining up with three temples to the east, astronomers accurately calculated solstices, equinoxes and agricultural cycles to guide the empire. The Great Pyramid of The Lost World : This imposing structure over 30 meters high stands out for its unique design with stairs on its four sides and monumental figureheads. A Stunning 360 Degree View : Climbing this pyramid will open up another of the best panoramas in the park. Unlike Temple IV, here you will have a completely clear 360 degree perspective that will allow you to see Temple IV in the distance, the Grand Plaza and the vastness of the jungle. It is the perfect place to connect with the science, mysticism and wisdom of the Mayan people in an environment surrounded by jungle and peace. A mandatory stop!

Lunch and Return to Flowers: The Perfect Closure After an unforgettable journey through the history, temples and secrets of the Mayan jungle, it will be time to indulge the body and process everything lived. We recharge with a Delicious Lunch: We will head to a local restaurant to enjoy a well-deserved and exquisite lunch with the authentic taste of the region. It will be the perfect time to relax, share the best photos of the day and talk with the group. Comfortable Return to the Isle of Flowers: With a heart full of adventure and a happy stomach, we will board the transport again. You can rest comfortably during the return journey, directly to the point of origin on the Isle of Flores.

Return to Flores, Free Time and Airport Transfer Arrival at the Isle of Flowers and Free Time : At the end of lunch, we will embark on the return journey. We will be arriving at the beautiful Isle of Flowers in the afternoon, where you will have free time on your own. It’s the perfect time to walk through its colorful cobblestone streets, shop for crafts, grab a lakefront coffee or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the island at your own pace. 6 :00 PM - Airport Transfer : To close with no worries, we will meet again at 6 :00 PM at the agreed point to board the transport, which will take you directly and on time to Mundo Maya International Airport for your departure flight.
