What an unforgettable experience. Walked to the basecamp in a small group with our guide Martin. Martin provides professional and involved information and advice. Right from the start, it's clear he's experienced. That makes me feel good. The basecamp has a special look and when most people have left we walk to an empty Trolletunga for a unique event with ditto photos. Martin hangs his armor in a place for the photos, where you can't just go. After that we ate delicious in the dome and despite the 3 gr outside slept wonderfully. Morning typical Norwegian breakfast and ready for the trip back. Martin is happy to share his knowledge about nature and the outdoors with us. Great trip and experience. Thx Martin.

I did the Trolltunga by via ferrata sunrise / sunset trip June '24. It was an incredible trip and I came back with memories to last a lifetime.
Our amazing guides for the 2 days, Štěpán and Lucyann, were so kind, professional and fun, they made sure everyone in the group was well taken care of. Štěpán was such a fantastic guide on the via ferrata, he was very knowledgeable and experienced which made the process much less daunting.
We got plenty of photo opportunities on the via ferrata and at Trolltunga. Because the glamping pods were located near the Trolltunga picture location we were lucky to have the chance to take photos later in the day when the crowds of tourists had left.
The views from the glamping pods were so beautiful it was surreal. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for the 2 days to take in all of the views. Our wonderful guides made us snacks, a super tasty dinner and breakfast and even lit us a cozy camp fire. I couldn't have asked for a better trip and would highly recommend the experience. Thank you so much to the Trolltunga Active team!

Did the 2D1N trolltunga hike under the wonderful care of Anke, our vivacious Belgian guide. We were part of 2 pair of couples and Anke was wonderful in her hospitality and care of us.
At the end of the day hike, Anke made sure we were all comfortable in our warm arctic tent, served us hot drinks and snacks and made a wonderful dinner with a bottle of bubbly as accompaniment.
Of course, the hike ended on a high that day with a wonderful short hike to Trolltunga where she took wonderful sunset pictures of us. Overall, a fantastic experience and highlight of our Norway adventure!

Sunset-Sunrise Summer Hike
Trolltunga Active is the original hike guiding company in the area, and it shows in a good way. The owner is very interested in preserving the environment around the trail for generations to come, so they don't take their guests swimming or making new trails like some others do. Support a good cause!
Sona and Stepan were our expert guides. The two worked together harmoniously to serve the needs of the group. They were very good at reading the group for rest stops but at the same time making the rest stops into information stops. So many interesting details about the area! I think every one felt very looked after while having a fun time. Both guides were enthusiastic and obviously love the outdoors. Sona was especially personable as well as good at making us comfortable in the tents. Hi Sona!
We had cloudy and sometimes drizzling weather (end of May) on the way up and nothing but sun on the way down. Honestly, seeing the mountains both ways was the best! And we got to see Trolltunga twice too as we went the first evening (less people) and the next morning. It is about 1.5-2 miles farther from the tents (something like that) so only some of us went the second time. On the day of the climb, it was nice to have rest and some snacks in the tents before making the final climb.
Some tips: You are able to refill your water from the stream around halfway up. Headlamps are on the list to bring, but I didn't need one. Perhaps that is for the winter months when it isn't light out at night. Also, the heaters go off at night in the tents, so dress accordingly before snuggling in for the night!
We stayed at the wonderful Trolltunga Hotel which made our logistics easier. The Trolltunga Active meeting for the hike is held there nightly, and in the early season, they provide a private shuttle to P2 (summer - third party shuttle runs). Great hotel - separate review!
I was concerned about how hard the hike would be and did research to make sure I wouldn't slow the group down. I have an old snow skiing injury. My opinion after going is that for the average active and physically fit person, you can do it. If you are not used to walking much, this shouldn't be your first rodeo.
Highly recommend. You won't regret it!
We also took the RIB Fjord Safari. The older driver explained a little a lot about the area, and he also doused us under the waterfall. Beware!

This was a challenging, but amazing experience! Trolltunga a must see! But the best way to do it is to stay overnight in the glamping domes!
Our guide, Christoffel, was super energetic, informative, and motivating! He definitely helped the less fit member of our duo make the hike! After we linked up with the via ferrata group and their guide, Myla, we all hiked out to Trolltunga for excellent views and pictures.
Once we were back at the globe, the guides heated up amazing dinners of chicken cacciatore, fish stew and deer stew. They really took great care of us!
On the following morning, they fed us breakfast and sang a Norwegian birthday song to one of our party!
The hike back down was challenging in its own way, but Myla and Christoffel knew just where to stop for breaks and water refills and also told us about the local flora of wild flowers and lichen.
It was truly the best way to experience this Bucket List adventure!
