What to expect
The New Parliament
We will start our tour at the main Entrance opposite the new Parliament, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano. We will make our way towards Saint James Cavalier, passing by the ruins of the Royal Opera House.
The garden offer fantastic views of the Grand Harbour, the cities of Senglea, Vittoriosa and Kalkara as well as the Breakwater. We will also have time to admire a number of monuments including ‘Les Gavroches’ and a bronze bust dedicated to Winston Churchill.
Once we leave the gardens, we will pause to admire the facade of the Auberge de Castille - the current official seat of the Prime Minister of Malta - designed by Architect Belli in 1741 for the GrandMasters.
Palazzo Parisio
Next we will stop to admire Palazzo Parisio, situated on Merchants Street. It is interesting to learn that after the French invasion of Malta, Napoleon stayed at this Palazzo for six days before making his way to Egypt.
Auberge d'Italie
The Auberge d'Italie was built in the sixteenth century to house knights of the Order of Saint John from the langue of Italy. Today it houses the Tourist Information Office as well as the National Art Museum, known as MUŻA. Entrance to MUZA is at an extra cost

We will then walk towards the the National Museum of Archaeology housed in the Auberge de Provence, in Republic Street, Valletta - this will provide the ideal way to learn about the prehistory of Malta! Entrance at an extra cost
This is a must see and certainly one of the most beautiful Co-Cathedrals you will probably see! Not only the walls and ceilings are decorated but also the floor is covered with memorials for the dead knights with inlaid intricate colorful marbles creating a rich tapestry effect all over the cathedral floors. Caravaggio’s highly famous painting of the 'Beheading of St John the Baptist' is also located in the side right chapel. Entrance at an extra cost No Flash allowed Free time will be allocated for lunch.
We will visit the Collegiate Parish Church of St. Paul's Shipwreck, first built in 1570 by Girolamo Cassar. It houses many treasures, including a dazzling gilded statue of St Paul, carved in Rome in the 1650s and carried shoulder-high through the streets of Valletta on the saint's feast day (10 February).
