What to expect
The private visit Good Morning Vatican Museums takes place exclusively before the opening hours of the Vatican Museums to the public for approximately an hour and a half and permits the visitors to perform with the “clavigero” or key holder of the Museums the solemn rite of opening the doors. The tour includes the following itinerary: 6 am: opening of the door situated at the exit of the Vatican Museums by the Key Holder and together the visitors will collect the historic set of 300 keys, including that of the Sistine Chapel. The tour includes the Simonetti Staircase and opening of the Pius-Clementine Museum, Upper Galleries (Candelabri, Tapestries, Geographical Maps), switching on of the lights and Raphael Rooms. 7.15 am Sistine Chapel: opening and switching on of the lights (20 minutes) 7.50 am the visit will conclude with a breakfast in the Bistrot of the Pinecone Courtyard
