Sofia
Welcome to Sofia! Transfer from Sofia airport to a hotel in the center of the city. If it is not too late – a walking tour in the downtown of Sofia. This is the capital of Bulgaria, which has many diamonds of architecture from different periods. Walk bellow the mighty Vitosha mountain and try the fortune of Sofia – the mineral water. Welcome dinner in a folklore restaurant in the center of Sofia. Night in the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to ethnographic complex “DAMASCENA” in the village Skobelevo – 3 hours. Visiting the rose distillery and museum. Free time for lunch.
Kazanluk
In the afternoon transfer to Kazanlak – a city, famous with its ancient history and festival of roses. Sightseeing in the city.
The museum will introduce you to the technologies and traditions of manufacturing the most valuable essential oils in Bulgaria and the World.
A copy of the original one, which is a part of UNESCO heritage.
Entrance fee for 3 other Thracian tombs - Gryphons, Helvetia, Shushmanets
Shipka
Visiting the near town Shipka, to see the Memorial monastery. Back drive to Sofia -3 hours.
Sofia
After breakfast - a walking tour in the center with visiting the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the suburbs.
Boyana Church
In the afternoon visiting the Boyana church with its magnificent wall-paintings from 1259 – the first foregoing frescoes of Renaissance in Europe, under the protection of UNESCO.
