Start at the central bus station in Gabrovo. Take bus number 11 towards 'Sofia'. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop 'Buzludzha', which is a popular landmark. From there, walk towards the main road and look for signs directing you to the Thracian tomb Shushmanets. The walk will take approximately 30 minutes along a scenic path. Ensure to have a map downloaded or use a navigation app as the path can be a bit winding. Follow the signs to the tomb which is located near the coordinates 42.7069° N, 25.3487° E.

Walking
If you prefer to walk directly from Gabrovo, start at the Town Hall in the city center. Head south on 'Vasil Levski' Street until you reach 'Hristo Botev' Street. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto 'Gabrovo - Kazanlak Road'. Continue walking for about 5 km until you see a sign for the Thracian tomb Shushmanets. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
