A Fond Farewell to Lamu
As our ten-day adventure in Lamu draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the incredible experiences we've had. This journey back to my roots has been everything I hoped for and more, especially sharing it with Jan. Today was all about soaking in the last moments of Lamu's magic, from its tranquil beaches to its historical depths, and savoring the flavors that have defined our trip.
Our final day in Lamu began with a leisurely breakfast at Whispers Cafe. The cafe, known for its inviting atmosphere, provided a perfect blend of local and international culinary delights. Sipping on Kenyan coffee while enjoying the morning breeze, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. It was a moment to appreciate the simple joys of life and the beauty of this island.
