Today was a day of wandering through the historical heart of Nafplio, soaking in its timeless beauty and charm. Isabella and I set out with no particular agenda, ready to let the city guide us. It turned out to be a day filled with delightful discoveries, from ancient gates to exquisite pottery. And, of course, a good amount of delicious Greek food!

Our morning began with a hearty breakfast at Nafplio Falafel. I opted for their signature falafel wrap, and Isabella, ever the adventurous one, tried the vegan nuggets. We both agreed it was the perfect way to kickstart a day of exploration. Fuelled up, we made our way towards the Sea Gate. The winter sun cast a golden glow on the water as we approached, and the views were simply breathtaking.

Despite being busy, we were quickly seated and greeted with warm hospitality. I ordered a pasta dish with garlic and sausage, while Isabella chose the ravioli with mushrooms and truffle. Both were absolutely delicious, and we savored every bite. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the experience, making it a perfect midday retreat.

The portions were generous, and the food was hearty and flavorful. It was the perfect way to end a day of exploring Nafplio.

I guess I'll be making a stop at a local shop tomorrow to replace them. Lesson learned: always double-check the essentials, even on a seemingly simple day of exploring!
