My Travel Highlight
One of my most cherished travel experiences was visiting Koumpentoum, Senegal, with my family and showing them the village I grew up in. Seeing my daughter Aisha connect with her heritage, meeting my childhood friends, and sharing traditional Senegalese meals together filled my heart with immense joy and pride. It was a beautiful blend of the past and present, and a powerful reminder of the importance of family and roots.

Though hard to pick, I would say that Senegal holds a special place in my heart. Returning to my roots and sharing the beauty of Senegalese culture with my family is always an incredibly rewarding experience.

Best Hotel
I had an exceptional stay at the Heidelberg Suites. The hotel is gorgeous, with elegant modern interiors and sensational river views. I also enjoyed the rooftop bar, superb spa and unusual gourmet restaurant, which sits on a boat.

Exploring the Amazon rainforest in Ecuador was an unforgettable adventure. Staying with an indigenous tribe, navigating the tributaries, and immersing myself in the vibrant ecosystem was both humbling and exhilarating.
