The simple flavors of traditional Moroccan breakfast fare were the perfect fuel for the day's explorations. I savored every bite, knowing that each dish told a story of the land and its people. It reminded me of those cozy mornings back in Svendborg, enjoying a simple breakfast before a day of cycling along the coast. The warmth and hospitality of the hosts made me feel right at home, a sentiment that resonates deeply with the Danish concept of 'hygge'.

With a full stomach and a sense of anticipation, I set out to explore the Kasba ancienne kaserne millitaire. This ancient military barracks is a testament to the region's rich history. Next on my itinerary was Toudgha essoufla park. This serene park offered a welcome respite from the ruggedness of the gorge. I strolled along the pathways, admiring the lush greenery and the vibrant colors of the local flora. The park was a haven for birds, their songs filling the air with a symphony of nature. I found a quiet spot to sit and reflect, journaling my thoughts and observations. It was a perfect opportunity to reconnect with myself and appreciate the simple beauty of the natural world. Toudgha essoufla park is approximately 5 km away. Start on the main path leading towards Tinerhir, then take Rue Aydoud on your right. The walk will take about 1.5 hours. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the sun can be intense.

For lunch, I ventured into Tinghir to try Restaurant Luxe Tinghir. The change of scenery was welcome, and I was eager to sample some local cuisine. In the late afternoon, I found myself drawn to Cafe perla. The cafe was buzzing with activity, locals and tourists alike mingling and chatting over glasses of mint tea. I ordered a cup for myself and settled in to people-watch. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I felt a sense of belonging wash over me. It was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration. This charming café and grill offers a diverse menu that showcases the rich flavors of local and international dishes. As evening approached, I made my way to Restaurant SIMPLE for dinner. The name was apt, as the restaurant offered a straightforward menu of classic Moroccan dishes. I chose a couscous dish, another staple of the local cuisine. The couscous was light and fluffy, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. It was a simple yet satisfying meal, a fitting end to a day of simple pleasures. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow, when I plan to embark on a Tinghir oiasis hike and visit the Bridge on Todgha River.
