My day began with a hearty breakfast at Yukinko. Nestled in a cozy corner, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the promise of local flavors drew me in. I opted for a traditional Japanese breakfast set, complete with grilled fish, miso soup, and pickled vegetables. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploration.

Crafting Memories at Hida Takayama Activity and Exchange Hall

Next on my itinerary was the Hida Takayama Activity and Exchange Hall. This place is a gem for anyone looking to dive into the local culture. The *sarubobo* is a faceless doll, traditionally made by grandmothers for their grandchildren as a charm for good health and happiness.
