Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Cahaba River, start by heading west on Cahaba River Road. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with U.S. Highway 431. Turn right onto U.S. Highway 431 North. Follow the highway for approximately 10 miles until you reach the exit for I-20/I-59 North. Merge onto I-20/I-59 North. Stay on I-20/I-59 for about 5 miles. Take exit 133 for 3rd Avenue North toward Birmingham. Merge onto 3rd Avenue North. Continue for about 2 miles, then turn left onto 73rd Street North. The Southern Museum of Flight will be on your right at 4343 73rd St N, Birmingham, AL 35206. Parking is available on-site.

  If you prefer to use public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus stop in Cahaba River. Take the bus route that heads toward downtown Birmingham. You may need to transfer at the main bus terminal in Birmingham to catch a bus that goes to the North Eastlake area. Look for the bus that stops near the intersection of 73rd Street North and 1st Avenue North. Once you get off the bus, walk east on 73rd Street North for about 0.5 miles. The Southern Museum of Flight will be on your left at 4343 73rd St N, Birmingham, AL 35206. Be sure to check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date routes and times.
